Eight million saw live TV stunt horror

BERLIN (AP) Doctors say a 23-year-old German who was injured while trying to jump over a car wearing power jumping stilts during a live TV show is in stable condition.
The Duesseldorf University Clinic said that Samuel Koch was being slowly brought out of a medically induced coma on Monday. They said it was too early to say whether Koch would be paralysed from his multiple spinal injuries.
German public broadcaster ZDF said it would continue the programme, which has attracted audiences for 30 years without incident.
Some eight million viewers were watching the programme at the time of the accident.
