Schools are invited to arrange short tours of the hurricane hunters for their classes between 12 noon and 3 p.m. on March 19. From 3 p.m. onward it is open to the general public.

The event is free, and will allow people to tour a C-130 Hercules 'Hurricane Hunter' Aircraft, meet the USAF Reserve crews who fly into hurricanes, talk with the National Hurricane Center meteorologists that predict these dangerous and fascinating storms.

The event will be held at BAS-Serco Ltd. offices, Southside Road, St. David's (Old Clearwater Fire Station), airside at L.F. Wade International Airport.
