Irish Installed Masters meet
There are two Installed Masters Lodges in Bermuda. The oldest is the Bermuda Installed Masters (BIML) No. 9271 on the Grand Registry of England, formed in1988. And the Bermuda Lodge of Installed Masters (BLIM) No. 924, formed four years ago on the Grand Registry of Ireland.
The Irish dominated the local Masonic spectrum this past week, among other things installing Wor. Bro Terry Greene as its Wor. Master for the ensuing year. The meeting was held at the Masonic Temple, Khyber Pass, Warwick.
Next week it's the turn of the English, who have everything in place for a visit from London of one of the most distinguished personages in Freemasonry, Wor. Bro. Dr. Robert Taylor Sillett. He has been invited to deliver a Prestonian Lecture at a BILM meeting and banquet at Freemasons Hall, Reid Street, Hamilton. His lecture is expected to deal with the origins and evolution of Masonic ritual over the past two centuries or more.
