It's big screen time as BIFF12 begins
The 12th edition of the Bermuda International Film Festival opens today with with the Danish hit, Flame and Citron, which smashed box office records in Denmark last year.
The lead actor, Thure Lindhardt who plays Flame, will be on island to introduce the movie and participate in the question and answer session that follows.
Other films on opening night include Senegal's The Absence and Canada's Heaven on Earth.
Flame and Citron opens at 7.30 p.m. at the Southside Cinema.
And tomorrow BIFF's Late Nites kick off at Heritage Court at Fairmont Hamilton Princess enabling the public to meet the visiting filmmakers, jury, international press and visiting industry professionals. The events run from 9 p.m. until the wee hours of the morning.
The schedule for the rest of the week is: Monday Port O'Call; Wednesday Verandah Bar at Elbow Beach; Thursday Hog Penny; Saturday March 28 Rumbar at Latin, where the Bacardi Audience Choice Award winner will be announced.
