Keeping it Real
Former Bermuda Tourism Director Glenn Bean made his television debut on Bravo Television's 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' earlier this month, and will reappear tonight on the season finale.
After leaving tourism in 2007, he relocated to Atlanta and founded VIPDistinct, a company that has become one of Atlanta's leading lifestyle management firms.
In doing so, he has grown his celebrity client base to include Dwight Eubanks. Mr. Eubanks is one of the stars of the hit reality show 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta', that looks into the lives of Atlanta's social elite.
"While it is clear that many of the fans have a love-hate relationship with the co-stars of the show, it is a shameless addiction that has lured television audiences around the world," said Mr. Bean.
"Described by many as a 'dramady', the second season was filled with catfights, backstabbing, men in high heels, and a sparring match with a party planner."
The season ends with tonight's episode, which is centred on the much anticipated fashion show of one of the reality programme's stars, Sheree Whitfield. The episode was co-produced by Mr. Bean.
Mr. Eubanks, a fashion expert, had 30 hours to pull the fashion show together. He enlisted the help of his publicist, Mr. Bean, to help him accomplish the feat. With only a minimal budget, they contributed their own funds to the event.
"Partnering with Glenn provided the medium to take the show to a higher level and reach the sophistication and influence [the fashion show] needed," said Mr. Eubanks.
The star-studded, red carpet affair, entitled 'The Evolution of She: 50s Glamour Meets 21st Century Sophistication', saw Mr. Bean and his team transform the ballroom at the W Hotel into a glamorous catwalk filled with some of Atlanta's most distinguished socialites, VIPs and fashionistas, all supported by the cast of 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta'.
Celebrities in attendance included R&B singer Bobby Valentino, singer Angie Stone, retired NFL player Dorsey Levens, WSB-TV anchor Jovita Moore, producer Jazzy Phe, and designer Mychael Knight.
Supermodel Lu Celania Sierra was the event's anchor piece.
As co-producer, Mr. Bean was responsible for layout, marketing and public relations and staffing.
"Given the time constraints, we produced a miracle without compromising the consummate level of professionalism and effectiveness that is expected of a VIPDistinct event," explained Mr. Bean.
"We created a unique ambiance of luxury, fashion and first class entertainment, all within thirty hours, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results."
'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' will air at 11 p.m.
