Last chance to see comedy

the runaway hit, "A Month of Sundays,'' a poignant comedy about old age, have one last chance to make up for lost laughs during the play's final run at the Hamilton Princess Hotel in late August and early September.

Written by British author Bob Lareby (famous for his TV hit series, The Good Life) and produced by the Triangle Theatre Company (J.B. Productions), the play bristles with caustic wit despite dealing with the sensitive subject of the vicissitudes of old age, life in a seniors' rest home, and family commitment.

Hailed by Mid-Ocean News reviewer Patricia Calnan as "one of the best plays seen here in a long time'', the local production is expertly directed by Keith Madeiros and superbly cast.

In previous performances, Richard Fell, Carolyn Finch, and Angela Gentlemen all earned rave reviews for the virtuosity and flawless execution of their demanding lead roles, which left audiences enthralled.

Equally, Jo Shane and Paul Woolgar were praised for their work in supporting roles.

A truly "don't miss'' production, "A Month of Sundays'' will bring to an end live theatre in the hotel's Gazebo Room. After September 4 the lights will be doused and the stage darkened forever as the hotel embarks on an ambitious refurbishment programme.

Final performances are on August 26, 27 and 28 and September 2, 3 and 4.

Tickets ($25 for the show, $60 for dinner and the show) are available from the Princess Hotel in Pembroke. For reservations and further information telephone 295-3000.
