Morgan Heritage makes the crowd groove with the hits

Jahpetes, lead singer of Morgan Heritage reaches out to the crowd Sunday night at Clearwater Beach in St. Davids during the Morgan Heritage Concert.

Morgan Heritage and other artists rocked St. David's on the eve of the final Queen's Birthday holiday.

The weather was excellent for the occasion and not a soul could complain about the balmy night.

And although there was room to mill about near Gombeys Bar, when we entered the stage area, there were tons of people listening to the conscious lyrics.

Playing along with the above was Bermuda's newest international export Troy Anthony, Tiny T, Tru Shot, Laza and Eerie Love.

The event was put on by With Love Promotions and Gombeys.

Morgan Heritage, who are known for tunes like 'Ready Or Not', 'Jah Seed', 'Children Of Tomorrow (Rastafari Children)', 'Down By The River' and 'Don't Haffi Dread', to name just a couple.

They are the children of reggae artist and former lead vocalist of the Black Eagles, Denroy Morgan.

Their names are Una, Roy (Gramps), Peter Nakhamyah, Lukes, and Memmalatel (Mr. Mojo).

With 'Down by the River' being such a popular tune, the crowds went wild with anticipation and sang along to every word.

Their lead singer Peter incorporated Bermuda into his rendition of the tune.

'Ego Trip' soon followed on the back of that.

'Children Of Tomorrow' and numerous others were enjoyed by the audience.

Gramps turned it out with 'Everything Will Be Alright'.

'She Still Loves Me' followed with 'She's my one and only'.

As a Rasta would say, "The night was irie man!"
