Nova's European concert live on web tomorrow
Bermudian singer Heather Nova kicked off her European tour on Monday with a performance at London's Shepherds Bush Empire.
The tour coincides with the release of her latest album 'The Jasmine Flower', and will include concerts in Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland and The Netherlands.
Fans unable to travel to Europe to see Nova live onstage, can watch her tomorrow over the Internet as she performs in Berlin's Columbia Hall at 4 p.m. local time.
According to Nova's website, Rhode Island-based trio Scarce opened Monday's performance at Shepherds Bush before relinquishing the stage to the Bermudian singer.
Nova's 90-minute show – during which she was featured on vocals, the guitar and keyboard – included songs from her past six albums as well as her more recent work. The audience sang along to 'Ride', 'Heart and Shoulder', 'Blood of Me', 'Motherland', 'All I Need', 'Not Only Human', 'Heal', 'Walk this World', 'Fool for You' and more.
Called back for an encore, the artist dedicated the song 'Paper Cup' to her parents and sang two subsequent songs – 'Renegade' and 'Every Soldier is a Mother's Son'.
Shepherds Bush Empire has been a prominent landmark on London's entertainment scene since 1903. Noted artists who have performed there include Blondie, Bob Dylan, The Sex Pistols, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Eric Clapton, Radiohead, Paul McCartney, Coldplay and Destiny's Child.
