Tracey Jill Burch-Moore graduated on 2nd May 2008 from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Arts and Science majoring in Gerontology.
A special 'graduation reception' was held for Tracey — hosted by Marshalle Smith in her home at Wesley Chapel, which was Tracey's tenure while studying in the USA.
Attending the graduation were her parents, former Senator Reginald and Sheila Burrows, her sister Trina Burch and son, A.J. Jackson, also Aunt 'Punny' — Ina Pitcher, Cousin Dawn Simmons, Uncle Rodney Tucker and son Craig Tucker, Dame Jennifer Smith, Lt. Col. David Burch;
Attorney Victoria Pearman and son Simeon, Gary and Gita Blakeny-Saltus, Vera Commissiong, Essie-betty Raynor, Norma (Nan) Trott, Cheryl Packwood, glen Bean, MKyrtle (Pepper) Lewig, Agnes Pitt, Michelle Richardson-Smith, Eugene (Deenie) Smith, Shannon Stovell and her children, Isa and Satori and most of her other friends from around the USA.
Leilah Peralta, granddaughter of Patricia Ferguson of Warwick and daughter of Karen and Pedro Peralta of Bloomfield, New Jersey, was inducted on May 29, 2008, into the National Honor Society of Secondary Schools (NHS).
Leilah was selected as a member of the Bloomfield High School Chapter.
Membership into the NHS is based on Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Character. Earlier this month, Leilah was also accepted for membership to the National Society of High School Scholars.
Leilah, an 11th grader, has been on the honour roll for her three years of high school and is an active member of the Key Club, School Orchestra and the Color Guard unit of the Schools Marching Band.
She is also a member of the Charisma Baton Twirling team that recently took first Place at the United States Twirling Association-New Jersey State Championships competition in Rahway, New Jersey, and second place at the New Jersey Baton Association-State Championship held in Bloomfield New Jersey.
