Disha Attavar and Howard Daniels are pleased to announce the birth of Riya Jasmine Daniels at 2.56 p.m. on June 8 at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. Riya Jasmine weighed seven pounds, 14 ounces and was 18.5 inches tall at birth.

Shakeela Smith was placed on the Dean's Honour Roll list at Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio, for the fall semester when she recorded a 4.0 G.P.A .

Ms Smith, a 2007 Bermuda College graduate, was also invited to join the Golden Key International Honor Society Club, which represents the top 15 percent of scholars in the world.

Ms Smith, who graduated from Cedarbridge Academy as the head girl in 2005, has also been admitted as a member into the Golden Key International Honor Society Club at the CSU, receiving her honors from the oranisation's president.
