Relief effort a success
organisers have asked people to stop giving donations of clothes and shoes three days before the June 30 deadline.
The effort set up by local businessman Mr. Steven Thomson and his wife, Mrs.
Norma Thomson, has collected two containers full of much needed clothing and shoes for Guatemalans.
Five hundred boxes of clothes have been given by the public.

Yesterday, Mr. Thomson said the couple is now seeking $10,000 to cover the cost of shipping the 20,000 pounds of clothes.
Bermuda Container Line has donated the cost of shipping the clothing from Bermuda to Florida but the Thomsons said they have to supply the money to get it to Guatemala.
