Students wage war of words

The event will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the Bermuda College Stonington Campus in Paget.

Students at the senior school level will be debating the resolution of "This House believes that tradition is holding us back'', with the middle school students arguing "This House believes that we should put the third world first''.

Round One starts at 10 a.m. with rounds two and three scheduled for 11.15 a.m.

and 2 p.m.

The debate teams will then be judged and the finalists will be announced at 3.15 p.m.

The four finalists teams will then prepare for the final senior and middle level debates which will both begin at 4 p.m.

The middle school finalists will debate in the North Hall Auditorium while the senior school students will battle it out in the New Hall Auditorium.

Awards will be presented during a ceremony at 5 p.m.
