La Leche League of Bermuda will hold a support group meeting open to pregnant women, new mothers and babies at 10.30am in the First Floor Conference Room at King Edward Memorial Hospital. The meeting topic is 'Breastfeeding: Good for Mothers and Babies!'LLL of Bermuda is a registered charity, offering mother-to-mother help and encouragement to women wanting to breastfeed their babies. An accredited La Leche League Leader will be present to answer questions and address concerns. The meeting discussions include the latest medical research as well as personal experience. Bermuda Folk Club Open Mic Night

Bermuda Rose Society presents a lecture by author and rose expert Stephen Scanniello at 11.30 am at the Horticultural Hall in the Botanical Garden. On January 12 at 1 pm he will also talk informally at Waterville in Paget about companion planting for roses at the Repository Rose Garden at Waterville on January 12 at 1 pm (cancelled in case of rain.) All meetings are open to the public.
