Marine Science Day at the Bermuda Institute for Ocean Sciences (BIOS) at Ferry Reach in St. George's. Stommel research cruises, wacky science experiments, BIOS magical mystery tour puppet show and fishy business arts and crafts, Wave Tank, Wet Bench and Touch Pool, among lots of other things from 11am to 4pm. Free entry.

Christ Church, Warwick, Christmas Fair from 10am to 4pm. There will be a golden elephant, children's games, lunch, baked goods, plants.

Attention skateboarders. The lower level of the new Washington Mall will be turned into a skateboarding park from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Bring your skateboards and get ready to tackle the ramps.

Health Financing Summit 2010 takes place at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess from 8am. Bermuda Diabetes Association is holding Denim for Diabetes Day. The public are invited to support Denim for Diabetes Day Fundraising Telethon, which will be aired on ZBM TV9 from 8pm to midnight. Lock in your pledges and help us achieve our goal. All proceeds are slated for the Bermuda Diabetes Association's building fund. The Bacchanalian Society of Bermuda is hosting a Wine Tasting Competition Fundraiser for the Continental Society of Bermuda. The event takes place at the National Sports Centre Pavilion, North Field, Frog Lane, Devonshire. For more information please telephone 291-1474. Admission for first-time participating teams is $30 per person. Those teams, which have attended previous events, pay $20 per person. The Bacchanalian Society will then make a donation to the Continental Society of Bermuda. Please RSVP your team indicating the number of participants (you plus one or two, as the case may be). Partner Re Art Lecture Series with Ebony G. Patterson assistant professor in painting and drawing at the University of Kentucky 'Gangstas: Disciplez and the Doiley Boyz' at the Bermuda National Gallery. Her lecture looks at the machismo through fashionable trends, such as skin bleaching of the Jamaican dance hall culture. Her lecture will raise questions about perceptions of masculinity within the 'blink' culture and pose larger questions about beauty, gender ideals and constructs of masculinity within popular black culture.

The Fairmont Hamilton Princess 125th Anniversary Celebration Cocktails and silent auction at 7pm with dinner and entertain to follow at 8pm. The Bermuda Chamber Choir presents Händel's Messiah at the Museum and favourite Christmas Carols. The Bermuda School of Music Treble Choir and Suzuki String Orchestra will be featured. The event takes place in the Queen's Exhibit Hall, National Museum, Dockyard. On Saturday and Sunday at 6.30pm and Sunday Children's matinee at 3pm. Ferry Service Saturday Only Hamilton at 5.30pm and leaving Dockyard at 9pm. Tickets Adults: $40 and Students $20, are available at CTravel on Queen Street (292-3033) and Bermuda School of Music (296-5100).

December 4 to 24

The Fairmont Hamilton Princess will host its annual Teddy Bear Tea. The children's Christmas tea is served daily between 2.30pm and 5pm. An etiquette class will be held on December 5, 12 and 19. Children are encouraged to bring a brand new teddy bear or other stuffed animal which in turn will be donated to various Bermuda charities for families in need. On Saturdays and Sundays, children will enjoy a special storytelling with Santa Claus at 3.30pm.

December 4

Saint Andrew's Presbyterian Church Grand Pre-Christmas Fish Lunch and White Elephant Sale, Baked Goods, Crafts and refreshments from 10am to 4pm in Astwood Hall, Pink Church on the corner of Church and Court Streets.
