The fifth BEACHFEST at Horseshoe Bay Beach to be held on Thursday
Horseshoe Bay is to be transformed into a massive party scene as BEACHFEST takes over for the fifth year in a row.
Good vibes, good food and awesome music performances are being promised by event organisers Chewstick.
"During the day there will be various sports, games and competitions including the Bermuda mini-World Cup beach football tournament," said Chewstick director Gavin Smith. "The community are encouraged to sign up early to have their 'country' represented.
"There will also be volleyball, beach rugby and an array of wacky games. The highlight of the games is the East vs West Tug-o-War sponsored by M3 Wireless, with special giveaways and prizes and the opportunity for continued domination by the West. Somerset supporters have dominated for the last few years, but perhaps St. George's is ready for a comeback!
"There will also be fun Crown and Anchor where you play for Heineken dollars that are redeemable for sponsor merchandise."
He continued: "While we have had international artists in the past, to celebrate our fifth year and highlight the astounding talent that we have on the Island, we have made the exciting decision to have an all-Bermudian line-up."
Performers include Secret PoPo, The R?ddla, Live Wires, Starrchild, Djata and Tiny T.
The event runs from 11 a.m. until 12 a.m. on Thursday. Admission is free.
