The group's coordinator Mrs. Miranda Lister read a report of the year and was later presented with a plaque of appreciation for her service to the Youth Parliament.

Before the presentation, group members Charles Sousa and Kenneth Caesar said: "When we started off the year, we all had diverse backgrounds but we still pulled together.

Director of Youth, Sports and Recreation Mr. Anthony Roberts said: "Youth Parliament aims to "increase awareness and understanding of young people on parochial and national matters that affect their lives.

"And it also encourages young people to participate in the decision-making processes that effect Bermuda.'' "It also increases awareness and understanding of the role and responsibilities of Governments in community life.'' Mr. Roberts made an appeal to all teachers and principals to assist in the Youth Parliament, asking them to contact the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Recreation.
