Live Wires to feature at Chewstick tonight
Live Wires a.k.a. Mitchell Trott will be showcasing his reggae styling as part of Chewstick's griot sessions this evening.
No stranger to the stage, he has been performing for over thirty years.
He is a former member of 'Sophisticated Gents', a now defunct group of horn players and drummers; he continues to promote upcoming artists in Bermuda. Since 1998, he has produced shows around the Island with an exclusive focus on songs and music produced by young Bermudians.
"We are excited to have Live Wires in the place to share his massive talent and upbeat, conscious tunes," said Chewstick Foundation director Gavin Smith.
"Do not miss the opportunity to experience his act live, it is guaranteed to be an energising and uplifting experience. To add to the excitement Force Proph, an upcoming hip hop artist, will be the opening act."
All performances are streamed live on www.chewstick.org and stored in the archives.
Tickets $20, are available at Chewstick, on the corner of Court and Elliot Streets, between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Seating is limited. Part proceeds will go towards the Chewstick Foundation.
