Play to highlight the fight for freedom
A performance highlighting slaves' journey from Africa and on to freedom will open at the end of the month at City Hall Theatre.
Work In Progress II: H.I.S.T.O.R.Y. is to be performed by TROIKA.
Creative director Nishanthi Bailey described it as "a riveting theatrical performance celebrating the historical journey from Africa, through Slavery to Freedom".
The play runs August 26 through 28. Curtain time is 8 p.m.
General admission is $30. Donor rates range from $50 to $150.
