Springsteen to close Giants Stadium

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (AP) – Bruce Springsteen will be closing Giants Stadium.The rocker told fans at the nearby Izod Center last week that he and his "wrecking crew", the E Street Band, will be the final musical act before the stadium is demolished after the 2009 football season. Three shows are scheduled on September 30, October 2 and October 3. Tickets will go on sale June 1. The New Jersey native has sold-out 44 concerts at the centre and 16 at Giants Stadium.
