Tony Robbins has indicated that his new six-part reality series may switch to Bravo or MSNBC, after it was dropped from its Tuesday evening slot on the NBC channel.

Critical acclaim has not been enough to convince NBC that 'Breakthrough with Tony Robbins' should continue in the prime spot in its schedule.

After only two shows, the second of which attracted a reported audience of 2.8 million, the TV network announced it was pulling the series and replacing it with reruns of the game show 'Minute to Win It' (see story above).

Inspirational speaker and life coach Robbins used Twitter, on which he has 1.7 million followers, to give a few brief thoughts on what had happened – and what might come next for the four remaining unaired episodes of the series.

Robbins tweeted on Wednesday: "Hey everyone! Despite great critical reviews of our show, it has not pulled a large enough audience for 8 p.m."

Then later, in response to messages from Twitter followers, he said: "Thanks 4 the kind comments. I'm proud of what we created & glad it touched U all 'In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity' Einstein."

He then gave an indication that the series, which follows the lives of individuals faced with challenges in their personal lives, may be aired on another channel.

This week's episode featured a couple, who were facing home foreclosure and a relationship break-up, experience life as homeless people on Los Angeles' infamous 'Skid Row'.

Robbins tweeted: "Spoke to head of NBC They say show has loyal following, 3 million ppl would be mega hit on any cable. All specials will air maybe Bravo or . . . NBC said unfortunate nature of competitiveness on tues 8 pm summer no time for show to build audience...Bravo, or MSNBC may be new distribut[or]."

And his desire to see the series aired, somewhere and somehow, Robbins yesterday tweeted a number of inspirational quotes: "'Get a good idea and stay with it. Dog it, and work at it until it's realised' Walt Disney", followed by "'It's hard to beat a person who never gives up' Babe Ruth."
