Where's the party?

A holiday weekend is upon us and like all good party animals, we want to know where the party's at..

Lifestyle reporter René Hill has compiled quite a number of the weekend's events, which range from fun in the sun to rock band heaven:

Tonight, two of the Island's hottest party planners, Barmuvinjam and Zodiac, will present the COLLAB 3 - THE TRILOGY.

This takes place at Flanaghans and offers two rooms and four DJs. Advance tickets are $25 and sold exclusively at Secrets. Tickets will be available at the door for a higher price.

Earlier in the evening, one might want to head down to Barr's Park (next to Albouy's Point) to take in the Official Stomp the Beach Happy Hour, which organisers say will get your holiday started right. There will be drinks, music, food, and best of all, you'll be able to meet the participants who will square off at this year's STOMP THE BEACH step show competition on Saturday night. Entry is free. 5 p.m.- 10 p.m.

On Saturday, there are a host of events that promise to keep your feet in the grove.

LVs presents Seduction on Saturdayz, which will feature music from DJ Kaos.

The Hottest step teams are invading the Island one more time to determine just who is the best of the best! The Epsilon Theta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Proudly Presents: Stomp The Beach 2009.

There are two events and the first will take place at Sandy's Secondary Middle School. The event promises to be fun for the entire family and it begins at 4 p.m. There will be food vendors, fun castles, music, face painting, and much more.

The step competition begins at 7 p.m. The competition will include teams from across the US and last year's champs, the A-Team, will be back to defend their crown!

Tickets $40, are available from www.bdatix.bm. Children under five are free.

Ticket purchase also includes admission to the Official After Party, which takes place on the sands at Snorkel Beach in Dockyard for ages 18-plus only. The party kicks off at 10 p.m.

DJs will be Hott 1075's afternoon mix-master DJ Rusty G, and Bermuda's hardest hitting one-two combination, Twin Starr! Tickets are available online at www.bdatix.bm.

World renowned turn-tablelist Skratch Bastid who plays a mix of Hip Hop, Funk, Disco and Rock will rock your world on Saturday at Docksiders. This is a show for all of the college kids and will feature DJs Smokey, Young Guns International and Vybez Alliance. Tickets $20 for this 441 Promotions event. 10 p.m. until.

While on Sunday, Skratch Bastid and DJ Smokey will be at the Rumbar for the more mature crowd. This will also be the launch party for Sinful Sundays. Tickets $10 for this 441 Promotions event. 10 p.m. until.

LVs will present American Bandstand meets Soul Train, which is an old school 70s and 80s party. Sometimes you want to take a trip down memory lane, and the only way to do is to hop on the Soul Train and head down to LVs. Pure 70s and 80s music all night. Guests are also encouraged to wear 70s and 80s gear.

Also on Sunday, and again at Snorkel Park, you can celebrate Bermuda's 400th anniversary, and bring in the holiday with sun, fun, and numerous exciting beach games and attractions. During the day, there will be jet ski and snorkel gear rentals, a giant water slide, raft-up with tender ferry to bring the boaters to Snorkel Park shore, free of entry charge, beach volleyball, and drink specials.

At night, the beach will transition into an outdoor club, with a late night menu, fiery koi performances, dancers and numerous bars specialising in different drinks.

On hand will be Secret Po Po and Black Seal Bands, in addition DJ Chubb and DJ OB1 will spin the tunes.

Chewstick's Summer Kickoff Bermuda Day Bash takes place at the Spinning Wheel Entertainment Complex on Court Street. A jam-packed night full of live entertainment where you are encouraged to take part. The night will feature performances by a virtual who's who of the local entertainment scene and by in-house band Olybhosh with the night ending with an ol' school style dance party with dj's The Dirkistan Freedom Fighters and special guest DJs. In addition, songbird Canjelae, BLAC, E-Levelz, Djata and RJ will perform with local poets. 8 p.m. -2 a.m. $15 at the door.
