Baileys to stage comedy show

Looking for a good time this Hallowe’en weekend, but not fussed about dressing up? Comedic siblings Nadanja and Nishanthi Bailey may have the solution for you.The talented duo are starring in the play ‘Don’t Talk to Me Like That’ at City Hall in Hamilton tonight at 6pm and tomorrow at 9pm.Mr Bailey said people can look forward to a family fun-filled event. “I am the comedian and my sister Nishanthi is the actress. We will be coming together, doing something together and people know what to expect.“From me, I am just stupid-hilarious, and with my sister you get craziness with a whole lot of professionalism because she is more of an actress.”The play, written and directed by Patricia Nesbitt, is centred around two groups of half-siblings one set that is crazy, another group that is stuck-up.This wacky group have to find a way to get together to celebrate their grandparents’ 50th wedding anniversary.Mr Bailey plays one of the children, Norman, a flamboyant hairdresser. His sister plays Sia, who is a “crazy, ghetto” hairstylist.The comedian said: “It is total chaos when you have two families that clash, but it’s disaster chaos mixed with a lot of fun.”The play also features Rhonda Daniels, Tyrone Smith, Roddy Nesbitt, Sharise Clarke, Mitchell Trott, Kimlee Hewey and others.Mr Bailey said it was the kind of production that would lift one’s spirits. “If you are feeling down or having a rough time, if you want a good laugh, this is the show that will do it for you and hopefully you will go on to have a good weekend after that.”Tomorrow’s show is for mature audiences only.Regular tickets cost $35; patron tickets are $50.
