Pembroke resident Amy Peniston recently graduated cum laude from from Duke Universitywith a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering.In addition to graduation from the Durham, North Carolina university's Pratt School of Engineering, Ms Peniston (right) was also named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2012 semester.CNN journalist Fareed Zakaria was the speaker at the annual commencement ceremony held on May 13.Ronald Wells of Smith's Parish is to graduate from Maranatha Christian College and University with a Bachelor of Arts.Mr Wells majored in Biblical Studies at the college, which is located in Pompano Beach, Florida.The graduation ceremony takes place on July 20.
