Uzimon: On stage on Wednesday at the Beres Hammond concert

Those who have seen parody reggae artist Uzimon perform before will know what kind of antics to expect when the local artist hits the stage at the Beres Hammond concert on Wednesday night. For those who haven’t had the chance to dance, jam and ‘crackup’ to his music, you are in for a big treat. The artist, whose real name is Daniel Frith, has taken time out from recording his new mini-album to entertain fans during what he coins “the best time of year” in Bermuda. The pre-Cup Match bash will also feature a guest performance by local reggae star Collie Buddz, before the headliner, Jamaican reggae legend Beres Hammond, takes the stage. Tickets for the ‘One Love, One Life’ concert at Par-La-Ville car park are $65 and are available for purchase online at www.bdatix.bm.In the lead-up to the big night, The Royal Gazette caught up with Uzimon to get some details on what local audiences can expect from his set and for an update on what he has been up to since our last chat nine months ago.
