In Motion dancers bring ‘Nutcracker’ to life
The In Motion School of Dance will once again bring the Christmas favourite ‘The Nutcracker’ to the local stage.
This year’s production takes place this weekend, and will be “bigger than ever”, dance instructor Candice Musselman said.
The school will perform the second half of the classic holiday ballet, with choreography by Jenn Spafford.
Cast members, who range in age from five through adult, have been rehearsing since September.
Ms Musselman said: “The Nutcracker has become a major event at our school. We hear the children discussing it in the lobby and saying how that they hope that they can participate one day.
“With that kind of enthusiasm from the kids it pushes the teachers to present something that we can all be proud of.”
The Nutcracker Holiday Spectacular runs tomorrow at the Ruth Seaton James Centre for the Performing Arts at 7pm and on Saturday at 2pm and 7pm.
General admission is $35; patrons’ tickets are $55. Tickets are available at www.Ptix.bm.
