Members of the community are invited to make their views heard during this week?s Tourism Forum.

On Friday, Tourism Minister Renee Webb invited the public to attend ?Tourism: The Way Forward?, which begins on Thursday, (December 4), from 6-8 p.m. at the Number One Shed on Front Street, in Hamilton.

The forum will feature a panel representing all sectors of the community, include Ms Webb, Shadow Tourism Minister David Dodwell, Tony Brannon, Julian Hall, Wayne Smith, Greg Haycock, Rolfe Commissiong and Charles Gosling. Arlene Brock will moderate.

The exercise will focus on how tourism impacts Bermuda?s economy, sustainable development in tourism, the issue of gaming, entertainment, opportunities for Bermudians, e-tourism, media, tax incentives, marketing Bermuda, the cruise ship industry, tourism awareness, future developments and airline strategy.

?As you can see by the panellists and topics, this will be a wide-ranging discussion, with all segments of the community represented.

?However we want ?Tourism: The Way Forward? to be fully interactive with as much public participation as possible.

?To that end, I?m urging all interested members of the public to come out and express their views, because their beliefs and opinions are vital,? Ms Webb said.

The public are invited to sent e-mail submissions expressing their views to (tourism_forumgov.bm.) and hard copy submissions will be accepted at the Department of Tourism at 43 Church Street.
