Magazine claims industry looking to Ireland

Many of Bermuda’s international companies are considering relocating the bulk of their business to other jurisdictions because of concerns over staffing and politics, a report out of Ireland said.
Published by Dublin’s Moranna Ltd., the story claimed work-permit six-year time limits, which became effective this week, could lead to a “corporate exodus from Bermuda”, with those departing helping to address Dublin’s skilled-staff shortage. The author is Dublin-based financial writer Romil Timbadia, who cited “industry sources” as saying the debate on independence had “created disarray in the minds of top management” of the Island’s international businesses.
