Thieves target building sites
Thieves struck a Trial Track Lane construction site in Warwick, taking a red Porta cable compressor and a yellow bag of carpentry tools.
The complainant reported the incident to Somerset Police Station on Thursday and said the items were stolen sometime between April 4 and April 7.
Meanwhile, another construction site was robbed in Smith's, near the area of Williams Estate, on the same day.
Police spoke with the victim at 12:20 p.m. who said that someone stole 15 bags of cement and six bundles of rods.
Due to the recent rise of construction site thefts, Police are reminding construction managers to secure all tools and equipment at the end of each working day.
They are also asking that they keep a record of the serial numbers of all tools and equipment, making it easier for Police to identify them, in the event they are stolen and found.
Police are appealing for anyone that may have information about these thefts, to contact Hamilton CID at 295-0011.
