Condolence book started at Alaska Hall for Dr. Pauulu Kamarakafego

The Progressive Labour Party has invited the public to sign a condolence book for the late Dr. Pauulu Kamarakafego (Roosevelt Brown).

It will be available for signing from 11a.m. to 3p.m. daily, until tomorrow, at the PLP headquarters at Alaska Hall, in Court Street.

Dr. Kamarakafego led the fight for 'one person, one vote' as chairman of the Committee for Universal Adult Suffrage in the early 1960s.

He died two weeks ago at the age of 75 at a friend's home after receiving palliative care at Agape House following a short illness.

Meanwhile, severe weather expected for Friday means a planned memorial service will be moved from the National Sports Centre to the new Berkeley Institute.

The service will take place at 11 a.m in the school's auditorium.
