It's Harbour Nights again
Whether you are nine, 19 or 90, Front Street has something for everyone this evening as the first Harbour Nights gets under way.
This year is the 15th anniversary of the summer street festival and features more than 70 street vendors and entertainers.
From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., people can dance beneath the stars, sample exotic fare or even take a horse and carriage ride. Arts and crafts, Gombeys and an extensive food court will keep the community and visitors entertained.
Organisers the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce, Bank of Bermuda, Department of Community and Cultural Affairs, and Spanish Town Entertainment have promised an even bigger bill of entertainment this year, featuring the Island’s top bands plus fashion and dance shows. There will be monthly appearances by the Bermuda Gombeys and Bermuda Regiment Band, while youngsters can enjoy activities at the ‘Children’s Court’ ranging from funcastles, face painting, tattoos and hair braiding, to train rides.
Front Street will be closed off to traffic from 6pm and people can enjoy late-night shopping in Hamilton until 9 p.m.
The Bank of Bermuda will also host a game booth with prizes.
Harbour Nights runs every Wednesday evening until October 10.
