In August 1995, Jerome Dill was appointed.

In May 1998, Tim Smith was appointed.

In November 1998, the Progressive Labour Party came to power and then Premier Jennifer Smith appointed herself Education Minister.

In March 1999, Milton Scott was appointed to the post.

In December 2001, now Finance Minister Paula Cox was appointed.

In January 2004, Terry Lister was appointed.

In September 2006, Neletha Butterfield was appointed.

In November 2006, Randy Horton took over the post.
