AME helps out with school work

A homework tutoring service will be launched by the A.M.E Church later this year.Rev. Lorne Bean said: “The clubs are intended to assist parents and students with their school work by providing them with adult and peer tutoring.“The clubs are free of charge and meals will be provided for the students at no cost as well. The church seeks to partner with the parents and education system by lending support to students”.

The tutoring will be held in three locations in the east, west, and central parishes from September onwards, Monday through Friday, between 4 p.m and 7 p.m. Rev. Bean said the exact venues will be announced at a later date.
