A suspected drunk driver overturned his car after smashing into a wooden fence and careering over an embankment.

The 18-year-old Hamilton Parish man did not suffer any injuries in the crash in Harrington Sound Road, Hamilton Parish, at 5.35 a.m. yesterday.

Police say he was travelling east when he lost control attempting to negotiate a bend in the road.

He was later arrested at his home on suspicion of impaired driving.

Officers are still investigating the incident.
