Retailers offered special holiday licences

Retailers were warned yesterday to update their licenses for the public holiday on Tuesday.Yesterday Acting Governor, Senator Alfred Oughton signed a proclamation ordering that Tuesday, June 5 be a public holiday in honour of Dame Lois Browne-Evans passing.The Register of Companies has confirmed that retailers will be permitted to operate provided they have their Holiday Trading Licence.

The Register of Companies has confirmed that retailers will be permitted to operate provided they have their Holiday Trading Licence.

Those who do not have the licence can submit an application with $84 to the Register of Companies on the fourth floor of the Government Administrative Building, Parliament Street, Hamilton.
