Men deny importing gaming machines

Three men denied charges of importing gaming machines into the Island yesterday in Magistrates' Court.

Graham Wall, 63, of Paget, John Thomas Kernan, 52, of Pembroke and David Rocha, 49, of Smith's, pleaded not guilty to importing 20 gaming machines and accessories including one computer rack, one cashier server, two game servers and one BAS comm server on September 24, 2006.

The men also denied allowing the machines and accessories into The Palace, in Reid Street, for gaming purposes.

The matter is adjourned until this morning. The defendants were released on $2,000 bail.
