Wikipedia, Facebook remove 'Son of the Soil' e-mail
A letter claiming to detail allegations about the Bermuda Housing Corporation affair has been removed from online encyclopaedia Wikipedia's entry for Premier Ewart Brown.
Wikipedia has followed popular youth online community Facebook in deleting the document from the person claiming to be responsible for the dissemination of leaked documents relating to allegations of corruption at BHC.
The letter, by someone dubbing himself "Son of the Soil", hit the web after being e-mailed to news groups including The Royal Gazette.
It has also been running on a number of blogs originating on the Island, including Bermudasucks.com.
Commentators have claimed it shows how attempts to gag the media over the BHC issue cannot stop millions of people reading about it on the Internet.
