Project aims to empower Bermudians under 30

The Family Centre will hold a youth project this Thursday with the hoped of motivating people under age 30.

The project, which starts tomorrow with a golf tournament at the Belmont Hills Golf Course, will be highlighted by a leadership development seminar on Thursday morning.

The project, entitled 'Who are You?', will be hosted by motivational speaker Stedman Graham and aims to give individuals aged 16-30 a greater understanding of who they are now as well as who they can be in the future.

The seminar will take place at the North Hall Lecture Theatre in the Bermuda College from 8.15 a.m. to 1 p.m. and includes a complimentary continental breakfast and a signed copy of Mr. Graham's 2005 book 'Who are you?'.

According to Elizabeth M. Ward, development director of the charity: "The Family Centre wants to really focus on positive youth development and development of the family."

Ms Ward explained that this is just one of a series of events held throughout the year to empower young Bermudans.

"The message that Mr. Graham will be imparting is very important to the youth," she said.

The event is sponsored by Tokio Marine and Tokio Millennium Re Ltd. and is supported by the Bank of Bermuda, Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch and Bermuda College.

These sponsors have made it possible for the event to be free of cost to participants who registered before the June 1 due date.
