Cambridge Beaches to feature in UK tabloid

An infinity pool and restaurant development at one of the Island’s hotels is already making a splash in the international press.

Cambridge Beaches is to feature in this weekend’s UK tabloid the Sunday Mirror, which has a circulation of 1.4 million and readership of 4.1 million.

A double-page feature by journalist Carole Malone praises the “spectacular” resort and its new Infinity Pool, pool terrace, bar, and ‘Shutters’ restaurant.

Ms Malone writes: “The Cambridge Beaches Resort is surrounded by the sparkling waters of the Gulf Stream and sits on a private peninsula on the western end of Bermuda. Some of the rooms are contemporary, some are traditional and cottagey, but all of them are fantastic.

“Bermuda is all about luxury and, because of the good exchange rate, it’s a luxury many people can now afford.”

She says: “If you have some excess energy to get rid of, you can swim, sail, kayak, play golf or book a picnic lunch and escape to a private island.”

Resort President Michael Winfield said: “This unexpected and very positive media coverage bodes well not only for Cambridge Beaches, but for Bermuda as well, as the UK market is a very important and growing market for us.

“We have got a double page spread in terms of coverage and that, for Cambridge Beaches, is extraordinary for our exposure in the UK market.”

Cambridge Beaches accommodates 94 rooms over a 35-acre site on the Somerset peninsula. As well as catering to tourists, the hotel also offers special packages to the residents of Bermuda.
