A Hamilton Parish man pleaded not guilty to trying to import drugs yesterday in Magistrates' Court.

Ricardo Phipps, 35, of Cottage Hill, denied conspiring with persons unknown to import cannabis into Bermuda and elsewhere.

He will return to court on July 5 for mention.

The defendant was bailed in the amount of $10,000 with one surety.
