CableVision outage caused by truck

A large vehicle hit a cable line causing massive outages in western parishes on Monday.The cable line lay between the junction of South Shore Road and Trimingham Hill and left those in Paget, Warwick, Southampton and Sandys without cable.CableVision believes the incident occurred sometime Monday morning and was caused by a very large vehicle because of the distance of the cable from the ground.

The cable line lay between the junction of South Shore Road and Trimingham Hill and left those in Paget, Warwick, Southampton and Sandys without cable.

CableVision believes the incident occurred sometime Monday morning and was caused by a very large vehicle because of the distance of the cable from the ground.

Yesterday, Terry Roberson, General Manager of Bermuda CableVision said crews worked throughout the day and evening on Monday to restore service on a parish-by-parish basis by 11.30 p.m.

Mr. Roberson said: "We would like to apologise to our customers for the interruption in cable service in a number of western parishes yesterday.

"Crews worked throughout the day and evening yesterday to restore cable service on a parish-by-parish basis, with full service restored by 11:30 p.m. Monday night. We apologise once again to our customers for any inconvenience that the cable outage may have caused."
