Garbage collection has returned to normal following a series of meetings between Government and Bermuda Industrial Union officials.

Collection crews worked overtime on Friday and Saturday to help clear the backlog, according to a spokesman for the Ministry of Works and Engineering. The spokesman said some garbage remained uncollected yesterday but that all areas will be cleared this week according to the normal schedule.

He said the Ministry apologises to all residents affected.
