More than 500 people, with a joint total of more than 7,000 years at work, were honoured at the Bermuda Hospitals Board long service awards.

Among them were two members, Roseclair Philpott and Dennis Bascome, who have each served for more than 40 years.

According to Health Minister Michael Scott in a statement to the House of Assembly, although Ms Philpott was unable to attend the June 22 event at the Botanical Gardens, “the remainder of those in attendance gave a standing ovation to them in honour of their significant contribution to the BHB”.
