A 31-year-old man Hamilton parish motorcyclist was treated in hospital after colliding with a taxi on Thursday evening.

At 5.15 p.m., Police attended a road traffic collision at the junction of North Shore Road in Hamilton Parish and East Point Lane.

The Hamilton parish man had been travelling on a motorcycle east on North Shore Road when a taxi travelling in the opposite direction attempted to make a right hand turn and the two vehicles collided.

Police said the Hamilton Parish man sustained a back injury and was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial hospital while the driver of the taxi, a 55-year-old Sandys man was not injured.

Inquiries into the incident are underway.

Shorts stolen

A pair of black shorts and a wallet with cash was stolen from a Warwick guest property on Thursday night.

Police arrive at the guest house at 8.45, where the visitor told them that between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. that day an unknown culprit gained entry into his room.

His wallet was later found without the cash.

Inquiries into the incident are underway.

Burglars strike

Police attended two burglaries at Ferry Drive in St.George’s on Wednesday.

A home owner reported that sometime between 7.45 a.m. and 1 p.m a person gained entry into her unoccupied home.

A neighbouring homeowner similarly reported that between 7.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m their home was broken into.

It appears that nothing was taken from either home, though Police inquiries are still underway.
