Motorcyclist injured at roundaboutA motorcyclist was taken to hospital yesterday after being thrown from his vehicle in a crash at a roundabout.The victim appeared to suffer an arm injury in the accident, which involved another motorcycle, at the junction of Par-La-Ville Road and Serpentine Road, shortly after 2.30 p.m.

Motorcyclist injured at roundabout

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital yesterday after being thrown from his vehicle in a crash at a roundabout.

The victim appeared to suffer an arm injury in the accident, which involved another motorcycle, at the junction of Par-La-Ville Road and Serpentine Road, shortly after 2.30 p.m.

He lay motionless in the road for about ten minutes as cars and bikes weaved their way around him before Police, an ambulance and fire crews arrived at the scene.

Paramedics administered first aid before the man got to his feet and climbed into the back of the ambulance, which took him to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

Concert venue changed

The venue for tonight's Mt. Zion AME Church Male Voice Choir and Apex Four concert has been changed from Barrs Bay Park to Albuoy's Point.

Organisers of the popular concert series have asked the public to come out tonight and enjoy the free concert.

Donations will be accepted to help defray the cost of an overseas tour for the two groups this October.

The public is encouraged to bring blankets and chairs and enjoy an evening of gospel music, both tradition and contemporary.

Construction supplies stolen

A home currently under renovation had a quantity of steel rod and cement stolen from the premises.

A Union Street, Pembroke, homeowner told Police that sometime over the weekend his home was robbed of the construction tools.

A car was stolen from a home on Third Avenue in Warwick.

The homeowner believes that sometime between 10 p.m. on Monday and 8 a.m. on Tuesday the car, a silver Suzuki Vitara jeep, and a quantity of cash were stolen from her home. The vehicle was later recovered.

Two Warwick homes burgled

Thieves targeted two homes in Warwick on Tuesday night.

The first reported burglary was at a home on Harbour Road at 5 p.m. The complainant said sometime between 2 p.m. on Monday and 4 p.m. on Tuesday, someone entered her home.

A silver Kodak camera and a quantity of cash were taken.

Later the same day, at 6 p.m., Police attended a report of a burglary at a home on Paddock Drive. Having entered the home sometime between 7.45 a.m. and 5 p.m. that day, the thief stole a quantity of cash and jewellery.
