Police attended two reported burglaries in Warwick on Wednesday.

At 9.50 a.m, officers attended a guest property, although the specific location has not been identified by the Police press office.

According to a spokesman, the victim is a visitor to the Island, who reported that an unknown culprit entered his room between 12:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. that day. A quantity of cash was stolen, although the exact amount was also not revealed in a press statement on the incident.

Around 3 p.m., Police received a report of a burglary at a residence in DeSilva Drive. The complainant stated that between 9.30 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Tuesday, an unknown culprit entered his home while it was unoccupied and stole a gold pendant.

[bul]Visitors at a Warwick guest house had their room broken into and their cash stolen.

Around 9.20 a.m. on Monday, they informed Police officers that between 11 p.m. on Sunday and 8 a.m. that morning, someone gained entry to their room.

Inquiries are underway.

Toshiba laptop stolen

Around 6 p.m. on Monday, Police responded to a reported burglary at a Greenfield Lane, Sandys Parish, residence.

The complainant told officers that between 1 and 4.50 p.m., someone broke into her home while she was away.

The thief made off with a blue Toshiba laptop computer.

Police are looking into the incident.

Motorcyclist injured

A 29-year-old Smith’s Parish motorcycle rider was injured after colliding with a car at the junction of Glebe Road and Parsons Road in Pembroke.

The incident happened at 3.45 p.m. on Monday, however, details about the collision are unclear and the Police are appealing for witnesses.

A Police spokesperson said it appears that the collision occurred at the junction with the motorcyclist travelling on Parsons Road and the car travelling on Glebe Road.
