Gang attack

Four young men were taken to hospital after a gang burst into a club and attacked them with weapons. The offenders — brandishing bladed and blunt articles — struck at Southampton Rangers Sports Club on Friday at about 10.20 p.m.

They assaulted two 20-year-old men and a 22-year-old man from Southampton, and a 21-year-old man from Sandys.

The victims, who suffered lacerations, abrasions and bruising, were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where their injuries were described as non life-threatening. Police say the suspects escaped, but two of their vehicles were later found and impounded. A 21-year-old Pembroke man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
