Thieves target properties over weekend

Police officers attended two burglaries which happened over the weekend.The first took place at a GIlbert Hill, Smith's parish home.The complaint told officers sometime between 11 p.m. on Sunday and 1 a.m. on Monday, a burglar gained access to her home stealing an off white handbag containing a digital camera and personal items.

The complaint told officers sometime between 11 p.m. on Sunday and 1 a.m. on Monday, a burglar gained access to her home stealing an off white handbag containing a digital camera and personal items.

The second incident took place at the WEDCO plant nursery in Sandy's parish. Officers attended the scene at 3.50 p.m. on Sunday and spoke to the complainant who said between 10 a.m. on Friday and 8.30 a.m. on Sunday, someone entered a storeroom on the property and stole a quatity of 'Stihl' tools.

Police are currently investigating both matters.

The Bermuda Police Service will ticket any motorist travelling along on parking on Washington Street.

Washington Street, where the Bus Terminal is located is primarily used for Government buses. There are parking restrictions and any vehicle commited traffic related offences will receive a ticket.
