Breaking News: Police name road crash victim

Police this morning named a man who died on the Island’s roads over the weekend as 38-year-old Vernell Eugene Smith.
Mr. Smith, of Sandys parish, was the 15th person to die in a road crash in Bermuda this year.
Police said Mr. Smith was riding a motorcycle traveling north on Somerset Road, in Sandys, when he attempted to overtake a car and lost control, colliding with a wall.
He was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with serious injuries and was subsequently pronounced dead.
