Breaking News: Premier's planned tourism link with India is "hogwash", say UBP
Shadow Tourism Minister Michael Dunkley today called Premier Ewart Brown’s trip to create tourism ties with India “hogwash”.
Dr. Brown and MP Walter Lister leave tomorrow with a Ministry of Finance team and a Bermuda International Business Association representative for a trade delegation in India.
The Premier has said the trip will hopefully explore links with India for business and put the Island on the radar for tourism.
Mr. Dunkley slammed this reasoning, saying that the business links may be beneficial, however, the idea that tourism could benefit from this trip was just a diversion.
He said: “We do not take issue with the international business aspect of the trip, but the tourism line is hogwash and a poor excuse for continuing the Premier’s worldwide farewell tour."
