Mom in court on police assault charges

A 23-year-old woman appeared in Magistrates' Court this morning accused of assaulting five people four of them police.Felisha Johnson, of Camp Road, Warwick, denied assaulting Ice Queen employee Ronnie Johnson and damaging a cash register at the Paget restaurant around 10pm yesterday.Ms Johnson also denied assaulting arresting officer Sergeant Shaun Broomes, as well as Acting Inspector Troy Glasgow, Pc Rawle Massiah and Pc Rajiv Bailey.She admitted being “partially guilty” of using offensive words, but denied violently resisting arrest.Asking to be released on bail, she said: “I have a small child in my custody who is under two-years-old.”Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner remanded her into custody until her trial tomorrow.
